The Blue Valley West TARS have returned from their Washington D.C. trip with national honors. The BVW TARS won BOTH the Outstanding Website Award and Lee Atwater Award (Ben Roller).

In addition to the prestigious awards, the BVW TARS participated in numerous activities. Highlights included:

• RNC Chairman- Ken Melham 
• Senate Whip- Trent Lott
• General Counsel to the President, Ed Gillespe
• Congressmen Joe Wilson, Adam Putnam, J.D. Hayworth, Patrick McHenry and Shelley Moore Capito
• Senator George Allen
• Conservative Personalities Armstrong Williams and Tony Blankley
• Meetings with Congressman Pat Roberts and Sam Brownback in their Capitol Hill Offices
• Charlie Cook, Founder and Editor of the Cook Political Report
• Capitol Tour provided by Representative Shelley Moore Capito's office (The BVW TARS were fortunate to see a House vote!)
• White House and Executive Office Building Tours
• Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and Capitol visits
• Iwo Jima Marines' Sunset Review
